The Pottery Amberley Museum

Menear Ceramics have now moved to the Pottery at Amberley Museum & Heritage Centre, Houghton, West Sussex.

At the pottery we have over 70m2 of studio and retail space available which is open to museum visitors and those who just want to come along to the Pottery (if that's the case please phone first 07788908182 or email us through the contact page).

Pottery Courses

Menear Ceramics run 2hr taster courses for a minimum party size of 6. These taster courses are ideal for that special party or corporate event. The courses are suitable for beginners to intermediates. 

The pottery is well equipped with electric pottery wheels and everything needed for hand-building. We cover a multitude of techniques including; hand building with slabs, coils and pinch pots, press moulding and throwing on the wheel. Decorative techniques include slips, oxides and glazes, brushwork, stencils, imprinting, stamping, resists and sprigs.

There are two pottery wheels in the studio which will also be available for those interested in throwing a pot. Please contact us for prices and further details.
